Community Medical Center is seeking Registered Nurses and/or Licensed Practical Nurses (certified) to join its team. We have night shift hours available, full time, part time and PRN. These positions are on the med-surg unit.

Community Medical Center is looking for a Coder for their HIM Department. Duties would include review of outpatient medical records for accuracy and completeness. Responsible for abstracting and coding clinical data related to diseases, operations, procedures and therapies. In-house only. Assists with transcription responsibilities and other clerical duties as assigned. Successful candidate will have an Associate Degree or a medical coding diploma. Responsible for performing medical laboratory tests, procedures, experiments, and analyses to provide for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids to determine presence of normal and abnormal components. Perform blood group, type, and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes. Analyze test results and track findings. Study blood cells, their numbers, and morphology. Perform EKGs, Holter monitors, and event recorders. Perform quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data. Perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment by checking functionality, calibrating instruments, and documenting data. Record any repairs, replacement, and maintenance in instrument logs, and maintain supplies. Maintain safety of patients and staff and assist in implementation and completion of Quality Assurance program. 40 hours/week and up to 24 hours on-call.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science and certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent.
