Volunteers Are Always Welcome at CMC
Community Medical Center has long-standing educational relationships with many of the area’s colleges and universities. Several of our clinical departments support students in their clinical rotations. We host students from nursing schools (LPN, RN, APRN), physician assistants program, imaging programs, and medical schools.
Bridges to Healthcare Internship
Community Medical Center introduced a summer internship program directed toward high school and college students interested in healthcare careers. The participation and response to this opportunity greatly exceeded expectations. Delayne Kaster, Lindsey McNeely, Elle Falk, Hannah Collier, and Alexis Miller were the first five students to be accepted into this internship designed to introduce students to daily activities and rotations in clinical and non-clinical departments of interest. The successful initiation of this program is due to the dedication and time commitment put forth by managers and employees in Admissions, Behavioral Health, Family Medicine Clinic, Laboratory, Nursing, Outpatient Clinic, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Surgery. This program would not have been as successful without the warm welcome each and every CMC employee gave these interns. Thank you to everyone who made this program a success!
