Radon is a cancer-causing natural radioactive gas that you can't see, smell, or taste. If present in your home, it may pose a danger to you and your family's health. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers,and claims about 20,000 lives each year.

Testing Kits
Some testing kits may be available free of charge and others will have a purchase cost associated with them.
Community Medical Center has a limited number or kits available. Please call the Administration office to check availability. 402-245-6503.
Check with your local Nebraska Extension office in Pawnee or Johnson County as they had some availability.
- Southeast District Health Department has kits available in their offices in Tecumseh, 292 Broadway Street, and Auburn 2511 Schneider Avenue.
