Ryan Larsen

Ryan Larsen has been the Chief Executive Officer at Community Medical Center since September 2005. During his tenure, CMC built a new facility which opened in November 2009 and completed an expansion in 2018.  CMC also has been named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals five times and in the Top 100 eight times by the National Rural Health Association.   Ryan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Brigham Young University and Masters Degrees in Business and Health Administration from the University of Missouri, where he also completed a fellowship from the Bureau of Maternal Child Health for children with developmental disabilities.  He received his Ed.D in Health Policy from Nebraska Methodist College in 2024.

Ryan’s previous senior management experience includes roles as Chief Financial Officer for Wamego (KS) City Hospital and Memorial Hospital Association of Carthage, IL. Ryan is a Board-Certified Fellow (FACHE) of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Nebraska Rural Health Association.  Ryan serves on the Executive Committee and Policy Development Committee of the Nebraska Hospital Association and chairs the NHA PAC. He recently took a seat with the Nebraska Methodist College Board and is the board president of Falls City EDGE (Economic Development). Outside of work, Ryan is an active member of the local Lions and Rotary clubs, serves in a variety of church roles, sings tenor with the Clefsmen men’s choir, and performs with a local brass ensemble.
