Laboratory Services

Community Medical Center Laboratory is an integral part of the healthcare system for our community. Laboratory medicine is a highly technical field and is crucial to aid providers in determining, treating and monitoring of the patients diagnosis.

State of the art instrumentation and information systems are utilized to ensure accurate and precise test results in a timely manner for you and your healthcare provider. Our laboratory staff is committed to excellent patient care.

The laboratory provides 24/7 services to the inpatient and emergency room department.

The outpatient hours are from Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. Saturday and Sunday are from 7:30 am to 10:00 am.

Outpatient Process

An order from the patient’s provider is required for any diagnostic or therapeutic procedure to be performed. Simply click on Lab Test Preparation on this website to get the preparation explanation for the test the patient has ordered. When arriving to the hospital for services the patient will register at the front admission’s area, then proceed to the waiting room.

Admissions will notify the laboratory and lab personnel will then escort the patient to the phlebotomy room. After specimen is obtained the patient may leave.

Results are faxed to the provider upon completion. The patient may sign up for the Patient Portal and receive results one hour after the tests are completed. The provider will contact the patient with the results either at their next provider appointment, by calling or by letter in the mail.
