Ryan Larsen

Ryan Larsen has been the Chief Executive Officer at Community Medical Center since September 2005. During his tenure, CMC built a new facility which opened in November 2009 and completed an expansion in 2018. CMC also has been named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals five times and in the Top 100 eight times by the National Rural Health Association. Ryan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Brigham Young University and a Master’s in Business and Health Administration from the University of Missouri. He received his Ed.D from Nebraska Methodist College in 2024. Ryan’s previous senior healthcare management experience includes three years with Wamego City Hospital in Wamego, KS as Chief Financial Officer, and a year and a half at Memorial Hospital Association in Carthage, IL, as their Chief Financial Officer. He is also a Board-Certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

He is a member of the Nebraska Hospital Association. He belongs to the Heartland Health Alliance through Bryan Health. He participates in the Critical Access Hospital – CEO group with Mosaic Life Care (formerly Heartland Regional Medical Center). He is also a board member of the Falls City EDGE (Economic Growth and Development Enterprise.)

Outside of work, Ryan is an active member of the local Lions and Rotary Clubs. Enjoying music, he is a member of Clefsman, a local singing group. He performs with a local Brass Ensemble. He supports the FCHS Band Boosters and Booster Club. He is active in his church and has been a member of the local Chamber of Commerce.
