Justin Westengaard, MD

2000 graduate of Hastings Collage with a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Completed medical pre-requisites at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Medical Degree at UNMC in Omaha.

Upon completing his Family Medicine Residency in Kearney and becoming a Board Certified Family Physician in 2015 he joined Community Medical Center and the Family Medicine Clinic August 1, 2016.

Orthopaedic Surgery training at the Ohio State University in 1994, additional training in shoulder reconstruction and sports medicine in 1995.

Pioneering work in minimally invasive reconstruction of the knee and one of the first surgeons in the United States to perform reverse shoulder arthroplasty.

Grant A. Anderson, PA-C, PH.D

Obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hastings College, 1991 and his Physician Assistant Degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, 1993.

In 2007, he earned his PH.D from Colorado Theological Seminary>

Worked at Community Medical Center and the Mid-American Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Clinic and the ER department of CMC in 2015 to June 2016. Joined the Family Medicine Practice in July 2016.

 

Community Medical Center’s
Hospitalist Program

  • 24 hour coverage in the ER, with our MD/DO staff on call for additional care.
  • Assisting the Providers with their hospitalized patient’s plan of care. Working with providers for optimal patient care, following lab and radiology results, and health and medication documentation and informa-tion.
  • Initiating order sets for the swing bed patients that our providers accept from outside the facility.
 

Matthew Simpson, PA-C Hospitalist

Attended Wesleyan University. Ob-tained his Physician’s Assistant Degree at Union College in Lincoln in 2012.

Working at CMC in both clinic setting and in the ER.

Came to Community Medical Center in December 2012.

 

Jayne Gunn, ARPN-C Hospitalist

Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing in 1987 and Masters of Science in Nurs-ing,2012 from Washburn University in Kansas.

Certified nursing in ER or OR, with 24 years of RN experience in Perioperative and Emergency Services.

Came to Community Medical Center in February, 2013.
