The position is for 12-hour shifts with a desired ability to provide additional 12-hour on-call coverage for the 911 emergencies. Community Medical Center is seeking multiple Medical Technologists for performing medical laboratory tests, procedures, experiments, and analyses to provide for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids to determine presence of normal and abnormal components. Perform blood group, type, and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes. Analyze test results and track findings. Study blood cells, their numbers, and morphology. Perform EKGs, Holter monitors, and event recorders. Perform quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data. Perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment by checking functionality, calibrating instruments, and documenting data. Record any repairs, replacement, and maintenance in instrument logs, and maintain supplies. Maintain safety of patients and staff and assist in implementation and completion of Quality Assurance program. 40 hours/week and up to 24 hours on-call.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science and certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent. Apply here.
